Main work consists of seeing clients and advising them on tax and financial matters. This often extends to management advice and deal making. Much more interested in what is going to happen to you and your business in the future and helping you to plan to meet your objectives.
Howard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 having been articled with a small firm in Salisbury, Wiltshire. He spent three years in London, mainly auditing, with one of the international firms following which he went to Lancaster University for a year, which is where the "MA" comes from.
In 1974 he went to Grant Thornton in London and worked in their technical and training department before coming to Petersfield with the same firm in 1979. Made a partner in the early 1980's and fell out with them in 1992.
Set up his own practice straight away, moving to the firm's present address later that year. Spent first 7 years as a sole practitioner until John Stimpson arrived to continue the growth of our practice.
Howard is 60, happily divorced with two children in the post-university phase of need. Hobbies, even if some appear unbelievable, are keeping fit (that's the one), badminton, socialising and - well that's enough!
